It is July now, and I have to ask. Have you started exercising yet? Yes, it is summertime, some of us would like to take a vacation or meet with friends or family at the beach. But would you be working out then?

A lot of of you might say no. And the reasons could be: “Oh, I’m using the time to work from home.” or “I have more time to see family. Not to exercise.” or “I have no weights at home. How can I do it without them? Plus, I’m not ready for it.”

Here are some workouts for you to do

For your start, you should do three workouts per week. If you would like to skip a day in between, that’s fine. Maybe on the days in between you could go for a walk or run a few miles. Try exercises for areas of your body on these days:

Monday: Chest Press, Shoulder Press, Triceps, Abdomen, Obliques, Leg Major Muscles

Tuesday- Run or walk 2 miles, Climb stairs

Wednesday- Back Rows, Bicep Curls, Lower Back Raise, Oblique Crunches, Lunges to side for Leg Minor Muscles

Thursday- Bicycle 5 miles, or Run/Walk 2 Miles

Friday- Leg Extention, Leg Curls, Backwards Lunges, Abdomen Planks (do variations to isolate in areas) Oblique, Planks

And then rest over the weekend. These exercises you can do between a half hour or a full hour. But do not waste time looking at the internet on your cell phone. Block that out. Just do the workout and rest between sets, focusing on your next one or how your body is feeling. Do 2-3 sets of 20 reps. You can do them with equipment or without. If you don’t have equipment look at my last blog about exercising without weights.

Try this out. If you have questions about the exercises, connect with me over email. Or if you live in the Los Angeles area, contact me and I can talk to you about personal or group training I offer.

I hope your summer is going great.
