Yes, I chose which next marathon I will run. I signed up for the Long Beach Marathon. This past year I was not able to run one, I was busy being a coach of a cross country and track & field team, along with being a personal trainer. I tired myself out and was not able to condition myself to run one.

Now I am training myself to run longer distances while wearing a sports watch. With it I am able to use the Global Positioning System to learn my running speed and location with its positioning, navigation, and timing services. It is useful, to see where I am slowing down, and learn how I need to improve with my endurance, strength, and speed to go faster.

But wouldn’t it be nice if there was a system that made it able for us to see how we could improve anything? And know we would be making the right choice to have a better life? That would be great. To have all the information on what we need to do to be happy, and feel that we made the best choice. It would be interesting, but that isn’t the way things are.

We need to ask ourselves what we want to do or should do, then decide, jump in and do whatever we feel is right. And that is especially if we want to move forward in life. That could be with our careers, family, where we should live, or anything.

But the decision we can make, is doing what we can to be healthy and in shape. All we have to do is make a plan, schedule a date, know what type of exercise, and the location. Whether at our home, at the gym, in the pool, or park. Or it could be your choice to eat healthier. We can make any of these choices, and know it is the right one.

So let’s do it, choose and participate in fitness activities this summer. Try and make it three days a week. You just need to take the next step.
